TRISTAN BLOMMER

I was born in the beach town of Santa Barbara, CA, where I lived until my family moved to the Eastern Sierra Mountains when I was ten. I now reside in Boulder, CO.

My interest in photography began while taking candid photos at family gatherings, but quickly grew to include landscapes, architecture, portraits, and macro photography everywhere I went. No matter the mode, my focus has consisted of bringing out the natural beauty and symmetry of my surroundings through the confines of a camera.

I received a bachelor’s degree in Film and Digital Media from the University of California in Santa Cruz, where my studies included a wide range of subject matter. I sought a variety of knowledge in order to gain a broad perspective of the world as a whole, which ultimately translated into diversity within my creative work.

My photography has since merged with my passion for rock climbing, where I have found a home in documenting the beauty, fragility, power, and grace of climbers. I love exploring the outdoors, ascending new routes, and developing my own technical knowledge of this sport, but there is something truly inspiring about capturing the journey of others on the wall.
